Meet Michael:
Meet Michael!
Michael is taking part in our equipped4wellbeing programme at Bulwell Forest Garden.
Michael joined to boost his confidence, meet new people, step outside his comfort zone, and strengthen his employability skills.
After just two sessions, Michael already felt his confidence growing and was proud to be taking positive steps towards improving his wellbeing.
Meet Soma:
Soma first connected with SCLA through our equipped2succeed programme at The Chase. From the start, Soma stood out as a vibrant and supportive individual within the group. Her positive energy was noticed by all, and she consistently encouraged and uplifted fellow participants. Soma joined the programme with the aim of rebuilding her confidence and setting meaningful goals for her future.
As her journey progressed, Soma began receiving one-to-one support from Maria. They worked closely on developing Soma’s employability skills. Soma attended several employability masterclasses, focusing on areas such as CV writing, interview techniques, and job searching.
Through her hard work and commitment, Soma made significant strides in both confidence and career readiness. Soma has now secured a full-time position with SCLA as a Learning Champion. In this new role, Soma now supports other learners across a range of programmes, drawing on her own experience to guide and inspire others.
