Small Groups
A small group environment allows students to get more attention than at school or college. With an average class size of five students, tutors can engage the group as a whole, stimulating student feedback and group discussion. The nature and size of the class allows individual issues to be addressed, a
key ingredient in the teaching process. A point, we feel, is commonly
undervalued. Regular work is also set where the student can improve their
skills through practice. Subject knowledge is then put to the test with an emphasis on exam paper questions for those students working towards their exams.
Student Support
We believe in a Student Centred approach where we endeavour to give students resposibility in structuring their learning. We are
aware of issues which may influence a student’s academic
performance, and are willing to discuss these with students if it is appropriate
to do so. We try to keep the focus on the student as broadly as possible,
from an academic vantage point as well as an interpersonal one. We feel
that all dimensions of the student contribute towards his/her progress
and success – and if there is any area we can help and give support
we will attempt to do so.
Individual tuition
We also provide individual tuition.
